Roccat to Display Kone[+] – Max Customization Gaming Mouse at gamescom 2010

PC gamers often boast about the flexibility and edge offered by a mouse and a keyboard. To further make gaming on computer systems a smooth sailing experience, Roccat has announced the new Kone[+] – Max Customization gaming mouse . Taking forward the legacy of the popular Roccat Kone, the new device will be introduced at gamescom 2010 which is currently being held at Cologne in Germany.

Embedded with next-generation 6000dpi Pro-Aim laser sensor, the mouse is said to deliver an exhilarating performance. The laser sensor combines with 10.5MP resolution and 1000Hz polling rate of the offering to optimize precision. It also enables gamers to accomplish lightning fast mouse movements with up to 30Gs of acceleration and speeds of up to 200ips without any loss or delay.

The Tracking & Distance Control Unit incorporated into the laser sensor allows the mouse to control lift-off distance and even modifies the sensor to match the structure of the mousepad. New enhancements into this advanced version include the improvements to the mouse wheel and adjacent buttons, augmenting its usability.

This new model embraces the EasyShift[+]button which can be employed to exercise two functions through each button. The eight programmable buttons along with the mouse wheel not only offers superior 22 mouse functions but also makes it simpler for gamers to access all the keys. To execute the EasyAim function, players can press the appropriate button which instantly switches to a preselected DPI setting. Finally, the EasyWheel function can be utilized on similar lines to manage the Aero Flip 3D feature in Windows 7.

Elevating its visual appeal, the integrated four multicolor LEDs along with advanced lightpipes and configurable effects can simultaneously flash and alternate in more than four colors. The supplementary Macro Manager will make it simpler for players to customize commands. In addition, the Loop Function can loop macros as gamers personalize the mouse to suit their requirements.

Players can store all their settings in five Game Profiles which have been designed on the 576KB onboard memory of the mouse. They can also be linked to games and apps along with button configurations, lighting set-ups and DPI settings which will load automatically every time a game is initiated. Once the Kone[+] is detached from the computing system, original settings will be restored. Lastly, the unique Sound Feedback system provides immediate response as gamers change their DPI settings, profiles, volume levels and other configurations.

The Roccat Kone[+] – Max Customization gaming mouse will be released in the third quarter this year for a suggested price of 79. 99 Euros (approx. Rs. 4,777).
