Ignition Entertainment and SNK Playmore have revealed some information about The King Of Fighters XII. They said that the game will release sometime in July of this year. We had earlier reported on The King Of Fighters XII.
“I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to commemorate The King of Fighter’s 15-Year Anniversary than with a gorgeously animated, high-definition installment that updates the KOF legacy for a new generation.” remarked Shane Bettenhausen, New Business Development Director of Ignition Entertainment. “While other fighting games have abandoned the time-consuming process of creating beautiful 2D art, KOFXII fully embraces the refined aesthetic beauty that only human hands can produce.”
The famous 3-on-3 fighting game series commemorates its 15 years in the industry with The King Of Fighters XII. The game’s graphics have been revamped with high-definition renderings of the fighters and completely hand-drawn background settings.
“Our development slogan for The King Of Fighters XII is “KOF Re-Birth” and we’ve aimed to create an entirely new King of Fighters game. To make this a truly unique fighting game, we’ve revolutionized the graphics by creating state of the art visuals – and made no compromises in that process whatsoever,” affirmed Masaaki Kukino, SNK Playmore.
The King Of Fighters XII has been developed by SNK Playmore and is being published by Ignition Entertainment. The game is a 2D fighting game and is for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. There have been no prices announced for the game yet.
