Besides shooters and racing games, fighting games are also popular with the crowd. But Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter series are not the only one that are available. There is King Of Fighters too! Now UTV Enterprise’s Ignition Entertainment has sent word that King Of Fighters XII will be available in North America and Europe in 2009.
Ajay Chadha is the president of Ignition Entertainment. He says, “Dreams never die! I have been a huge The King of Fighters fan since 1994 when the game first debuted and I know original fans will be as thrilled as I am about this groundbreaking installment of this very popular series. And just as significantly, The King of Fighters XII should be a treat for the new gamers who’ve just been introduced to the hugely popular franchise.”
So what’s so special about King of Fighters XII? Well, the fighting game gets a complete graphical overhaul. They have dropped all the sprites that have been used in the previous fourteen years. Instead, gamers can expect 2D high definition and high resolution sprites along with detailed 2D backgrounds. All are completely drawn by hand.
King Of Fighters XII has been developed by SNK Playmore. The game will be released in 2009 but Ignition Entertainment will release more details regarding the gameplay, release dates and platforms of King Of Fighters XII later. Apparently, the game would be out in Japan too in April 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
