Car Handling in F1 2010 to Deliver “Most Authentic Experience”

Late last year F1 2009 zoomed onto store shelves. Now Codemasters has revealed that the upcoming F1 2010 simulation racing game will focus on simulation authenticity, and will deliver the most authentic experience.

“The preference has always been to go down the simulation path,” Stephen Hood, Chief Games Designer explained. “You can make a realistic sim easier to play for somebody but it’s very difficult to take an arcade handling system and make that appeal to people who prefer simulation handling.”

Codemasters released the second F1 2010 developer video which features new gameplay footage. In the video, former Formula One test driver Anthony Davidson describes how the development team strives to create the “most authentic experience possible”. The developers are working with teams, drivers and tyre manufacturers to bring the sensation of being in a Formula One racing car alive.

F1 2010 is scheduled to launch this September for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
