What do newly registered domain names suggest? Well, in some cases, companies might just want to hold such a domain to protect their intellectual properties, with nothing relating to actual video games being in the works. But new domains popping up could also suggest upcoming games or plans for such in the near future by the concerned parties.
Now according to Superannuation, new domains have been discovered for GoldenEye and Bloodstone, which seem to point to a new James Bond game. The URLs goldeneyegame.com and bloodstonegame.com were registered by Activision just recently. Speculation is that Bloodstone is a new James Bond game, while GoldenEye could well be a reboot.
Last year Activision announced a new James Bond title and pegged it for 2010. So could this be it? And will there now be two titles instead of just one? Or is goldeneye.com just a placeholder for something else? Speculation is endless, but we won’t know anything for certain unless Activision confirms it and announces something.
