Crazy Taxi to Reboot in HD this November on XBLA, PSN

It is a great deal of fun to dash through traffic-jammed city routes, followed by subsequent screeching of hand brakes only to tumble across parking garages or delve into sea-water depths. Sega’s Crazy Taxi offers all of the above and a bunch more. The HD remake of this mad escapade published by Sega is set to arrive this November on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade worldwide. Previously, the game has appeared on Arcades, Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube and Microsoft Windows.

“Crazy Taxi is the second installment in our Dreamcast revival, and we hope this release will prove every bit as nostalgic to fans as Sonic Adventure did last month!” stated Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at Sega.

To engage in unrestrained series of wreckages on populous city roads, however thrilling it sounds is bound to have legal consequences in the real world. But in the digital universe, this is exactly the kind of urban adventure Crazy Taxi offers. San Francisco styled hills to drive around gaily, 16 minigames to improve on steering skills, dual game modes and 720p graphics in 16:9 aspect ratio are some of the highlights condensed in this reproduction.

The HD remake of this arcade classic will be available for Xbox 360 on XBLA and PSN for PS3. The Xbox 360 version releases on November 24, 2010, whereas the PS3 version is reported to be up for grabs on November 23, 2010 in America and November 24, 2010 in Europe and Australia. The ride toll for Crazy Taxi amounts to 800 Microsoft points or $9.99 (approx. Rs. 447).
