Minecraft: Story Mode coming to Wii U this week

After having been released for a number of popular platforms, Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode is all set to make its debut on the Wii U on January 21. Back in December, Mojang’s original Minecraft was first released for Nintendo’s console, making it the first ever offering from the series to call the Wii U its home.

But Minecraft: Story Mode is extremely different if compared against the original game. It is based on Telltale’s concept of point and click adventure games that involve storylines that are different for everyone as they are tailored based on the decisions taken by gamers at various points during the game.

On January 21, only the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will be made available on the Wii U in exchange of $4.99 (approx. Rs 340). The remaining four chapters on the other hand will be sold in the form of a Season Pass costing $19.99 (approx. Rs 1350).

Minecraft: Story Mode

Minecraft: Story Mode has its narrative revolve around a fresh character named Jesse, who can be either male or female depending on the player’s choice. The game’s story involves the protagonist and his/her friends embarking on a journey that will see them attempt to save their world by defeating the evil Witherstorm.

Just like the main Minecraft offering, this title too has been made available on a variety of platforms. It can be bought for PC, Mac, the PS3, the PS4, the PS Vita, the Xbox 360, the Xbox One and even Android and iOS.
