Minecraft: Story Mode release date gets leaked via Amazon

Telltale Games wouldn’t have intended for the release date of its much anticipated Minecraft: Story Mode to be revealed prior to its official announcement, but that’s exactly what has happened. It has been revealed by Amazon listings that the game will be out for purchase on October 27 in North America and on October 30 in Europe.

This applies to the disc copies of the entire first season of Minecraft: Story Mode. These will offer access to episode 1 at launch, and will open up access to the other ones as they go on being made available by the game’s makers.

Telltale is still to give any official details about the release date of Minecraft: Story Mode. By the way, the October 27 and October 30 dates apply to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game, according to Amazon. We’re expecting the PC version to be released on the same date as well.

As for other platforms, the game is slated to be launched for Android, iOS, the PS Vita and Mac as well. Moreover, we had also been told recently that it will be released for the Wii U, making it the first ever title from the Minecraft franchise to hit a Nintendo console.

This game takes the original title’s setting and blends it with a proper story involving a few new characters. Its gameplay will adhere to Telltale’s trademark style involving a tailored story that changes based on the decisions you take a various points.
