Minecraft: Story Mode gets announced, set to be developed by Telltale

Minecraft: Story Mode is a new experiment that the folks over at Mojang will be tackling, along with the support of none other than Telltale Games. The latter developer excels in creating adventure games based on popular franchises like Borderlands, The Walking Dead and Game of Throne, which makes us wonder how exactly it will be fitting Minecraft into its blueprint. Anyway, this narrative-driven game is supposed to be released sometime in 2015 for PC, Mac, iOS, Android as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Minecraft: Story Mode

It’s set to follow the episodic treatment that’s given to other Telltale offerings which means it’s most likely to arrive in the form of five different parts that will be released on different dates. Minecraft: Story Mode will just be set in the world created by Mojang, but won’t be any sort of an ‘official’ story for Steve. Telltale Games however, has mentioned that this offering will feature an original story driven by player choice. This just makes it harder to imagine what we can expect from the offering.

It features two main gameplay modes namely, sandbox and creative. This game is available to play on almost every platform you can think of; it recently also made its way onto Windows Phone. This story mode has hence got lots of people excited about it.
