The Walking Dead 400 Days DLC has been announced by Telltale Games, delighting fans of the highly appreciated series a great deal. This add-on content for The Walking Dead game will be hitting multiple platforms slapped with a 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 290) tag this July. A definite release date is still unclear however. Moreover, a PS Vita version of the title’s five episodes from Season One has also been announced, and it will come bundled with the new add-on as well.

The Walking Dead 400 Days DLC will adopt a completely new perspective on the zombie apocalypse which lies at the heart of the series. The story will be told through the points of view of five new characters, even as they fight to survive the first four hundred days of the outbreak. It will adopt the same decision-based approach that features in the earlier episodes. Players will be able to jump into these five connected short stories in any order.

The names of these five characters have also come to the fore by means of teaser Vine videos which the developer had been posting on its Twitter account prior to E3. Vince, Bonnie, Russel, Shel and Wyatt will be the survivors who will form part of The Walking Dead 400 Days DLC. Their story will revolve around a Georgia truck stop, where gamers will be asked to take them out of horrifying situations. The trademark moral choices of the series as well as quick-action sequences will also form part of it.
Upon its release in July, The Walking Dead 400 Days DLC will be made available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Mac and iOS devices. Placed at 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 290), it will need at least the first episode of Season One to be present on the system. As for the PS Vita version of Season One, not much is known about it at the moment. Touch controls have of course been confirmed to have been granted to it.

The 400 Days DLC for this game is set to be followed by a Season 2 which had been announced long back. No word about it has come out as yet, but fans can expect it to come about this fall.
