Nintendo E3 trailers: Mario Kart 8, Zelda, Smash Bros. and more

All these Nintendo E3 trailers were showcased by the Japanese giant through its Direct broadcast, as it had decided not to hold a press conference at the gaming event this year. We’re highlighting only the chief offerings that Nintendo has unveiled for its devices. Without much waiting let’s get to business.

Nintendo E3 Trailers

Mario Kart 8 got announced for the Wii U, making it the first title from the Kart-racing series to come to the new console. Gameplay footage of the title can be spotted in the trailer below, but fans can note that it won’t be out until spring 2014.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is another Wii U offering that was included in the Nintendo E3 trailers which were unveiled by the publisher. Under development from Retro Studios, it is scheduled to hit the console later this year with a number of new features.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD got a gameplay video showcased as well. This Wii U offering is of course a remake of the GameCube original, but as can be seen in the footage, a number of new features have been added to it.

Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii was undoubtedly one of the best JRPGs in recent times, and the studio responsible for it, Monolith Soft is busy creating another game for the Wii U right now. A teaser for it has been showcased by the publisher as of now.

In other news, Wii Fit U has been met with a delay for some reason. It will now be released sometime this winter. On the other hand, Wii Party U will be out sometime later this year. There’s a new video for Pikmin 3 too. It’s slated to arrive for the Wii U in July.

The Zelda 3DS game which was announced in April this year finally got itself a name. Dubbed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, this title is a a top-down adventure, and is a sequel to SNES’ A Link to the Past.

And then there’s even a video for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. This much awaited title is all set to hit the 3DS in July this year. Yoshi’s New Island will also be coming to the handheld console, but during the holiday season.

Bayonetta 2 received a showcase among all the Nintendo E3 trailers. It has been revealed that the game will comprise of a two-player mode which will be separate from its main campaign.

And then there’s the much awaited next Super Smash Bros. game. For the first time, gameplay footage of this Wii U and 3DS offering was showcased by the company. It has also come to light that it will run in 1080p.

Some third party games will also be coming to the the company’s devices. Here’s a trailer which contains most of them.

Those were all the main E3 trailers that the publisher chose to unveil through one of its regular Direct conferences.
