Resident Evil 4 Remake Gets Hilarious Anime Series Ahead Of Launch

Resident Evil 4 Anime

With only a few days left before its release, Capcom has ramped up the marketing efforts for the Resident Evil 4 Remake. The company has decided to create a funny anime series based on the events of the game, with a style reminiscent of old Studio Ghibli films.

The anime video features adorable versions of the game’s characters, including its much-dreaded villains. The first episode of this Resident Evil 4 Remake promotional video is titled “Leon and the Mysterious Village” and sees a naive Leon S. Kennedy enquiring about Ashley.

As hilarious as the short video is, it looks like a clever ploy from Capcom to remind people of the original game from way back in 2005. Counted among the best video games of all time, it has stood the test of time with a number of HD remasters for various platforms.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake is a complete remake, however. It features modernized and improved visuals and is focused on delivering a much more immersive atmosphere, apart from improved character designs and enhanced backgrounds.

There are several gameplay changes to be experienced as well. It will be the first game from the Resident Evil series to offer six optional control schemes, including one that is styled after the inverted control scheme in the original game.

The game’s story takes palace six years after the events of Resident Evil 2. It has special agent Leon on a mission to rescue the President’s daughter Ashley Graham from a Spanish village controlled by the violent cult of Los Illuminados.

March 24 is when the Resident Evil 4 Remake will be made available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Prior to that, you can look forward to new episodes of the anime series on the Capcom Asia YouTube channel.
