Back 4 Blood’s Latest DLC Adds ‘No Hope’ Difficulty Update

Back 4 Blood DLC

Back 4 Blood has been going very strong since it received rave reviews for its co-op zombie slaying offerings. Not too long ago, the makers doled out the game’s first DLC titled Tunnels of Terror and along with this expansion, a free new ‘No Hope’ difficulty level was also introduced to the game.

‘No Hope’ is strictly for those who have mastered the game by taking full advantage of Back 4 Blood crossplay support. Also, it’s now the top difficulty level in the game even as it has replaced Nightmare. Recruit and Veteran are the other two modes. It is to be noted that this mode gets added to all versions of the game irrespective of whether you buy Tunnels of Terror or not.

As for what the Tunnels of Terror expansion includes, firstly, it adds two new characters to the game. One is Sharice, a firefighter who prefers an axe as her weapon and who’s great at defensive play. And the other is Heng, a no-nonsense restaurateur skilled at slaying Ridden with his knife.

Another big addition that this Back 4 Blood expansion brings with it is a new PvE activity called Ridden Hives. It features labyrinthine tunnels that reward you for heading deeper into them. But be warned that they are swarmed by new Ridden that have arisen from mutated strains. As per TheSixthAxis, they are called Urchins, Shredders and Rippers and can indeed be used in the game’s PvP Swarm mode.

Plenty of other stuff forms part of Tunnels of Terror. This includes a total of eight exclusive character skins and 12 exclusive weapon skins. It is available for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Back 4 Blood.
