Bloodborne PC Coming As ‘Hunter’s Edition’ Along With PS5 Version?

Bloodborne

A number of popular Sony-published games have been taking the Windows route lately so it’s really no surprise to see the mention of Bloodborne PC in the wild. It seems a special ‘Hunter’s Edition’ of the game is being prepped up for launch on PC and the PS5, however, nothing official about these editions has been heard so far.

Bloodborne is considered among the best games of the last-gen console era and it definitely warrants a special PS5 release, complete with updated graphics and DualSense support. Currently, the PS4 version can indeed be played on the new-gen console and it’s even part of the PS Plus Games Collection.

According to GameRant, this news about the ‘Hunter’s Edition’ comes from 4chan user Demonite, who has a good track record for everything Bloodborne. According to the user, the ‘Hunter’s Edition’ will apparently fix the game’s unstable framerate.

On the PS5, the Performance mode is expected to target 60fps at 1440p, which will be upscaled to 4K. This mode will indeed feature ray tracing but of a lower quality than the Quality mode, which will run at 30fps. As for Bloodborne PC, its framerate will be capped at 60fps, according to the leakster.

There’s more; it seems the game’s Cainhurst Castle and Cathedral Ward areas will apparently be expanded, whereas six new weapons could also get added into the mix. We could even get an upgrade system a la Sony’s Director’s Cuts, which give the PS5 versions at just $20 to those who own the game on the PS4.

The source of this news has suggested January and February to be the tentative months during which Bloodborne PC and PS5 might be released by Sony. So let’s wait and watch.
