Movie monster of legend, the Predator, has come to Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Wildlands as part of free downloadable content (DLC). The event which will put players in the boots of the hunter as well as the hunted, will run through early January 2018.
It’s already available in-game; meaning you can spend this weekend role-playing as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch from the 1987 sci-fi action horror flick (which does not need to be rebooted, we repeat, does not need to be rebooted!).
You can go in solo or play with up to three other mates as you hunt down the creature while trying to avoid being skinned by it at the same time. The free PvP mode dubbed Ghost War is additionally receiving a Dutch-inspired class of soldier with a battle rage mode.
As part of the roll-out, Ubisoft is selling a special Predator pack. It contains a fresh close combat move and new weapons as part of 15 customization items themed around Predator. Those who do manage to take down the alien menace will win exclusive in-game bonuses.
One of the prizes includes the iconic Predator mask (dreadlocks and all) which gives gamers the gift of Predator vision as depicted in the movie. But don’t think it’s going to be an easy ride. Ubisoft promises this will be the most difficult fight ever featured in Ghost Recon Wildlands.
They’re encouraging folks not to embark on the mission in solo mode. The Predator will come at you with his Smart Disc and Plasma Caster. He will have his cloaking device at hand, taunt you with his macabre trophies and generally be a-creeping around. Stay strong!
Ubisoft wants you to find out for yourself whether the Predator will blow himself up or not in the end.
