Tom Clancy’s The Division has set sales records already

Tom Clancy’s The Division was expected to get a huge opening, and so has turned out to be the case. This third-person shooter has managed to sell off more digital and physical copies than any other Ubisoft title till date.

This definitely spells good news for the publisher, as Tom Clancy’s The Division has been under development for four years, meaning it will have a massive amount of revenue to recover. Also, this year will see no mainstream Assassin’s Creed game going on sale, which will result in lesser earnings than usual.

Figures from the UK are in as well, and they have revealed that Tom Clancy’s The Division is the biggest ever Q1 launch in the territory. It has also turned out to be Ubisoft’s third-biggest ever game release in the UK, behind Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 3.
