Other than that, today also saw the release of fresh new content for Capcom’s RE: Revelations 2.

Resident Evil HD

Through a blog post, the developers of the game have disclosed that Resident Evil HD has been able to achieve the milestone owing to two main reasons. According to them, one among them is the fact that the game itself is a great product. And the other one is that it received ‘excellent’ word of mouth and general praise from its fans. Capcom has furthermore gone on to thank those who bought the game and played it for the first time.

The original Resident Evil was first released back in 1996 for the PlayStation, and it had later made its way to other platforms of its time, like the Sega Saturn and of course, PC. Then in the year 2002, a remake of it was launched with greatly improved presentation and a bevy of new gameplay elements, environments and story details. This version made its way to the Nintendo GameCube console and then to the Nintendo Wii. And it’s this edition of the game that was given an HD makeover by Capcom earlier this year.
