Rise of the Tomb Raider getting Baba Yaga DLC this January

January is all set to see Rise of the Tomb Raider getting a new DLC pack named Baba Yaga: Temple of the Witch. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics revealed this expansion during The Game Awards, and have also released a trailer for it which you can watch in the space down below.

The Baba Yaga: Temple of the Witch DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider brings with it an all-new story. It has titular character Lara Croft finding herself deep within a forest ruled by the mythical Baba Yaga. This creature happens to have been derived from Slavic folklore, and is known for living in a house set upon giant chicken legs.

The game’s publisher Microsoft has revealed that Baba Yaga: Temple of the Witch will add to the title ‘hours of new gampeplay.’ Moreover, it will also bring with it fresh enemies, puzzles, tombs and other things. No need to say that those who own the game’s Season Pass will gain access to it for free. The exact price of this DLC for those without a Season Pass is still unknown.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a sequel to Crystal Dynamics’ successful 2013 offering which rebooted the popular series. As part of an exclusivity deal with Microsoft, the game has only been released for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. It will be hitting PC in early 2016 and the PS4 in late 2016, much to the disappointment of fans who prefer these two platforms.
