Assassin’s Creed Unity rumored to contain 4-player co-op mode

The first true next-gen game from the series, Assassin’s Creed Unity is being speculated to contain some sort of a 4-player cooperative mode. Nothing official is available about this matter, but chatter on the Internet is that it will be unveiled by Ubisoft at this year’s E3.

First, this news emerged through some tweets by former NeoGAF user @shinobi602 who said two demos of Assassin’s Creed Unity are planned for E3 by Ubisoft. He also revealed that while one of these demos will focus on the single-player campaign, the other one will shed some light on its 4-player co-op mode.

This report was provided further credence by The Escapist which has said that it will be a narrative-based mode. This means it will be separate from the main campaign and the competitive multiplayer components which form part of Assassin’s Creed games.

Revealed for the first time in March this year, Assassin’s Creed Unity will be set during the French Revolution and will feature new parkour techniques. It’s slated to arrive for the PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year. Ubisoft is reportedly also prepping up a separate AC title codenamed Comet for the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
