Saints Row 4 to get Enter the Dominatrix DLC this October

The Enter the Dominatrix DLC which was earlier supposed to be released for SR: The Third, will now be launched for its successor, Saints Row 4 by its maker. Fans will remember that 2011’s Saint Row game was supposed to be infused with this add-on, but according to its makers, its ‘cumulative awesomeness’ led to the cancellation of this plan, subsequently resulting in the announcement that it will be coming out for the new game.

And now, news coming in from the San Diego Comic Con (via Game Informer) has confirmed that it will be released for the game exactly 45 days after its launch. This means, we’ll get to see it on October 4, since the release date for Saints Row 4 has been marked down at August 20. Keeping with the over the top themes that are a selling point of the series, it will take place as a behind-the-scenes feature that will see the characters explain why the content never made it into the full game.

Saints Row 4 was officially announced for the first time during March this year, complete with a debut trailer. Instead of THQ, Deep Silver will be handling its publishing duties, since the IP was snapped up by the latter during an auction held by the former following its bankruptcy. Like in all the games from the series, Saints Row 4 will see players assuming control of the leader of the gang who has now turned the president of the United States.

Like we said, Saints Row 4 is slated to come out on August 20 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Its Enter the Dominatrix DLC will be released in October this year.
