Assassin’s Creed III Special Editions Disclosed

Taking the anticipation surrounding the game to a whole new level, Ubisoft has unveiled details regarding the Assassin’s Creed III Special Editions which will be made available in EMEA territories. The different versions in which the game will be doled out include the Freedom Edition, the Join or Die Edition, a Special Edition and of course, the standard edition.

The Freedom Edition comprises a 24cm figurine of the series’ new protagonist – Connor, a steelbook case art drawn by comic artist Alex Ross, George Washington’s notebook which contains secrets about the Assassins and the Templars during the American Revolution, a multiplayer package as well as an exclusive Lithograph. Moreover, two additional single-player missions named Lost Mayan Ruins and Ghost of War would also be packaged into this bundle.

Even the Join or Die Edition offers a multiplayer package, but contains just one single-player mission, namely Ghost of War. Other features that form part of this pack consist of a medallion of the Assassins with a curd ladle and George Washington’s notebook. And then there’s the Special Edition which apart from a distinct packaging, kicks in an exclusive single-player mission named A Dangerous Secret.

Revealed for the first time earlier this month, this game is designed to take the Assassin’s Creed saga to a completely new setting which takes place during the American Revolution. It has also come to light that apart from the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, the title will even be outed for the Wii U.

Ubisoft has revealed that the Assassin’s Creed III Special Editions will soon be available for pre-order through UBIShop. The game is slated to be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 31, 2012, while its PC and Wii U versions are yet to receive their respective launch dates.
