Dishonored to receive Dunwall City Trials DLC this December

The first piece of Dishonored DLC will be called Dunwall City Trials, and along with information regarding its contents, a post on Bethesda’s official blog has also revealed that it will be doled out this December. Slated to arrive for the PS3, Xbox 360 as well as PC, this add-on is not a story-based one, as it will only feature ten challenge maps which will test and track the combat, stealth and mobility skills of players.

Some of these ten maps have also been described by the developer. While one will consist of an arena battle against waves of enemies, another one will be fraught with a series of drop assassinations. New Trophies and Achievements have been confirmed to form part of this DLC. But that’s not all; global online leaderboards have also been announced to be contained in it.

This is certainly not the only piece of the downloadable content planned for the stealth title. Two more story-driven campaigns are set to launch for it sometime next year. The game’s next DLC will be focused on Daud, who’s the leader of a pack comprising of supernatural assassins known as The Whalers. Fresh environments, weapons, powers and gadgets will be included in the content as well. It will be released early during the spring of next year.

The Dunwall City Trials DLC for Dishonored is still to be granted an official release date, but it has been confirmed to be scheduled for launch this December. Those who are yet to play the game can pick it up now for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
