Sucker Punch’s open world video game series is back with its protagonist Cole MacGrath, who seems all ready to test his powers. inFamous 2 for the PS3 brings Cole MacGrath in a whole new city with new characters and powers. The developers add new suspense to the storyline this time around.
Cole is on a mission to intercept ‘The Beast’ from destroying the world. He has to unlock his undiscovered powers hidden in the city of New Marais and defeat the power-hungry dictator, who will try every trick in the book to kill him.
The Karma system too has gone through a change. Players can pick from two characters and build relations with either one of them. They have to however choose their partner wisely, as one character will have the secret power to safeguard Cole from his enemies. A wrong choice will affect the player’s gameplay.
New characters like Kuo, Nix, and Zeke Dunbar are part of the new game. Making allies and taking on stronger enemies will be a challenge for Cole. The protagonist gets to unleash new and improved powers, like the Ionic Vortex that creates a tornado of electricity, the AMP which helps him channel his energy and the Kinetic Pulse that allows him to lift cars and throw them on enemies.
inFamous 2 is available now and is priced at 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,682) and $99.99 USD (approx. Rs. 4,471) for the Standard and Hero editions respectively.
