Just Cause 2 Demo Unleashes Early Next Month

Just Cause 2 is noted to be a sandbox style action game which is currently under development by Avalanche Studios and Eidos Interactive. Last month we had reported that the PS3 version of the game will ship with in-game video capture feature. Players wanting to get a taste of all the action present in the 2006 sequel will be able do so shortly. Square Enix London Studios disclosed that they can get their hands on the demo of Just Cause 2 on March 4, 2010.

The demo version of the freeroaming game is packed with 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert. This offering is just one among the 400 square miles of the Panau archipelago in the game. The demo will also feature villages, towns, mountain ranges, military installations and missions as well as loads of activities chalked out for eager gamers.

“The Just Cause 2 demo is simply massive and with so much to do, the replay value is enormous. It’s easily one of the biggest freeroaming demos of all time and for fans of openworld games, it’s unmissable,” stated Lee Singleton, General Manager of Square Enix London Studios.

Players will be able to track down and assassinate a military colonel as well as infiltrate military bases, government infrastructure and bio fuel chambers. Gameplay becomes more exciting as they can even hijack tuk tusk, armoured vehicles, military 4x4s, helicopter gunships, mopeds, mini vans and light aircrafts as well as other military and civilian vehicles.

Gamers can freefall from burning planes at 20,000 feet and even unlock one complete multi-stage mission. They must scale high mountains and into a heavily guarded government radar station and finally concluding the demo with an adrenaline pumping desert car chase.
