Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing to reappear early 2011

Reappearance of old and classic games to current-generation consoles has been a sort of trend lately. While re-mastering these aged but popular titles still remains a treat feat for old-school gamers, it also allows modern players to take a sneak peek in the history-making process of the virtual gaming worlds. Subsequently, with Sonic Adventures and Crazy Taxi acting as a precursory, European and American divisions of Sega have revealed their intent to re-create Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing for Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles.

“The release of these games marks Sega’s ongoing effort to bring its best-sellers from the Dreamcast era to the latest consoles. We want to enable a new generation of players to experience some of the most celebrated titles our video game history has to offer, while at the same time appealing to our enthusiastic and much appreciated community of fans,” explained Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at Sega.

Holding a prestigious slot in the Sega All Stars roster, Sega Bass Fishing is a realistic 3D bass fishing simulation. The game offers eight distinct fishing environments as well as fourteen different lures. With the grass becoming greener as the rains approach, Space Channel 5: Part 2 is a journey of well-known reporter and dancer Ulala who contends against the Rhythm Rogues. Purge and his abettor Shadowin lead a group of antagonists trying to conquer the universe with their dance-control weapon. Players heed Ulala and govern her to sift her way through to success before the evil rogues make their wish come true.

Two of these Dreamcast’s most played games have been digitally revamped by Sega in high-definition with a purpose of making them available on PS3 and Xbox 360 by early 2011.
