Activision Confirms James Bond 007: Blood Stone, to feature artist Joss Stone as Bond Girl

Back in April Activision registered a trademark for Bloodstone along with one for GoldenEye. Now Activision has confirmed the existence of a Blood Stone video game and announced that artist Joss Stone will feature in the game as the newest Bond girl in James Bond 007: Blood Stone. The game comes from screenwriter Bruce Feirstein.

In addition to appearing in the game as a Bond girl, Joss Stone will create original music for the title, dropping players into the explosive third person action with an international conspiracy at its core. Blood Stone will be spread across various locations packing in behind-the-wheel action on land as well as sea.

“James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond,” David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing enthused. “In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales.”

The game is set to provide an original Bond experience and will feature the voices and likenesses of Daniel Craig, Joss Stone and Judi Dench. The game is said to be rife with action including cover-based gun battles, hand-to-hand combat, as well as high-octane driving sequences. The battle for queen and country can be taken online in the game’s 16-player multiplayer mode.

Joss Stone’s original song featured exclusively in the game is titled “I’ll Take It All”, a track written and performed by Joss Stone and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. James Bond 007: Blood Stone is in development with Bizarre Creations for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC and there is even an original Nintendo DS game being developed by n-Space.
