This party season will capture rocking music and captivating beats and roll them up in personalized tracks as DJ Hero 2 gears to arrive in October. Activision has revealed that this installment in the DJ Hero video game series will feature over 100 artists, creating one of the best soundtracks in entertainment. The game will comprise melodic tunes of artists including Rihanna, Eminem, Chemical Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliot and others.
“With DJ Hero 2, we wanted to create the ultimate party experience of 2010, and that meant not only revamping and adding social and multiplayer game modes, including full microphone support, and all-new levels of creative freedom, but also mixing and mashing hits from over 100 of the biggest and most popular artists on the planet,” beamed Dan Neil, Music Director, FreeStyleGames. “We can’t wait to drop details on which of these artists’ hottest tracks, as well as how we’ve mixed them together exclusively for the game, later this year.”
This title blends several genres to make the DJ Hero 2 experience a treat for aspiring musicians, singers and disc jockeys. Be it hip-hop or pop, this game will deliver immense delight embracing hits from many decades. Players can spin a latest Lady Gaga track with pop songs from the Jackson 5 era or crossfade a Pussycat Dolls song while scratching an album by 50 Cent. It will allow gamers to let their creativity flow, mixing varied tunes and grooving to some of their own masterpieces.

Singers and rappers can take center stage as two or more DJs fight it out to prove their prowess. The jump in and out Party Play gameplay will further enhance the overall experience. Players can also switch to the Empire Mode which will route them from being a budding disc jockey to owning a major entertainment company on the basis of their success as a DJ.
The compilation of soundtracks in DJ Hero 2 includes songs from artists like Chris Willis, Drake, Dr. Dre, Janet Jackson, Kanye West, Lil Jon, M.I.A, Nelly, New Order, Sean Paul, Snoop Dogg, Wayne Smith, Warren G, Walter Murphy and others. It will also features tracks from the collection of Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force, Clinton Sparks, Dee-Lite, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, House of Pain and more.
Developed by FreeStyle Games, the title can be enjoyed by Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii gamers. The DJ Hero 2 Party Bundle will comprise a copy of the game, two turntable controllers and a microphone. Players who own the first chapter can procure this new installment with one turntable controller and a copy of the game or simply purchase the standalone title. The company has not revealed pricing and availability details.
