Mafia II made its way onto the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC late last month. 2K Games had also earlier announced that the Betrayal of Jimmy DLC would release along with the game exclusively for PS3. Although these revelations are pretty recent, back in July we had reported about the title’s first two DLC packs. With the first pack for Mafia II already out, the company now reveals its second add-on dubbed as Jimmy’s Vendetta.
The latest downloadable content offers players arcade-style gameplay complete with over leaderboard ranking and 30 new quests. This offering is an alternate mob perspective seen through the eyes of the efficient Jimmy who one can rely on to finish the job. Gamers will have to put up with the Italian and Irish mobsters living in Empire Bay.
They can take advantage of many unlockable quests like timed vehicle pursuits and assassinations, all of which evolve into an explosive conclusion packed with car chases and dramatic shootouts. Points can be gathered as players perform vehicular power slides, supercharged velocity and lofty jumps. Through combos and multipliers, they can increase their overall scores which will then be pasted onto the new online leaderboard system.
Jimmy’s Vendetta is scheduled to release on September 7, 2010 and can be acquired from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace for a price of 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 466) and 800 Microsoft Points respectively.
