Ever since Mafia II was announced the game has been hotly anticipated. And recently 2K Games revealed the game’s street dates. Now 2K Games has announced the first two downloadable content packs for the game. The first DLC pack ‘The Betrayal of Jimmy’ will be made available as a free download exclusively to those who purchase a new copy of the game for the PS3. The second, ‘Jimmy’s Vendetta’ will be made available soon after launch for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The Betrayal of Jimmy will give players an alternate view of the mob through the eyes of Jimmy, the Mafia’s go-to guy. This DLC pack includes several city based missions in a newly created arcade style which will see Jimmy rampaging through Empire Bay. There is a slew of assassination and timed vehicle missions and players’ scores will get tallied to a new leaderboard system. The second DLC pack, Jimmy’s Vendetta will see Jimmy cleaning up other people’s messes in a series of new city-based missions. New locales will be featured, as will new replay action.
The Betrayal of Jimmy, exclusively for the PS3, comes by way of a free voucher code included in every new copy of Mafia II. It will also be available for purchase on the PSN beginning on the day of launch for 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 465). Jimmy’s Vendetta will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Details on pricing and availability of the same will be revealed at a later date.
Mafia II is scheduled to hit North America on August 24, 2010 and will be available internationally starting August 27, 2010.
