Some time ago Eidos Interactive spoke about the Battlestations: Pacific release dates. They said that the game would release on May 12, 2009 in North America and on May 15, 2009 across Europe and Australia. Now they have revealed that the game’s demo will be available at the end of the month.

The game gives players the chance to take part in the historical events or greatly alter them. The full version of the game features one US campaign which is historically accurate and one “historically possible Japanese campaign”. The game will have five new multiplayer modes and 28 missions with up to eight players capable of playing and more than a hundred sea, undersea and air units.

The Battlestations: Pacific demo will consist of one playable mission, Divine Winds of Leyte, from the US campaign. Players must scramble into the action as a Kamikaze attack on a US carrier fleet is launched. The demo also includes two multiplayer modes, Siege and Island Capture which can be played in the offline game mode ‘Skirmish’. This game mode allows players to play on any multiplayer map in single-player against an army controlled by the game’s AI.

Battlestations: Pacific demo is set to be released on April 30, 2009 on Xbox 360 and Games for Windows. The demo will be available on Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live Marketplace. Prices for the game’s demo have not been announced.
