Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment recently announced the release dates and prices for the Watchmen: The End is Nigh. We now have word that Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 2 has launched on Xbox 360 and is also available as part of a film and Blu-ray Hi-Def game hybrid for PS3 in the form of Watchmen: The End is Nigh The Complete Experience.
Inspired by the bloody combat scenes of the 2009 Watchmen movie, The End is Nigh Part 2 will feature some truly gut wrenching action sequences. Players will witness the teaming up of Nite Owl and Rorschach as they try and locate a missing girl called Violet Greene.
The game depicts the Watchmen universe in splendid detail. Here, gamers can find themselves fighting against as many as 20 bad guys in action packed street fights. Users can either opt for the split screen co-op multiplayer option or select the single-player mode and fight alongside an AI partner. Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 will feature a total of 9 chapters from the film in addition to movie locales.
The Watchmen: The End is Nigh The Complete Experience will contain Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 video game and the Watchmen: Director’s Cut on Blu-ray. This two-disc collectible set will feature an additional 25 minutes of ‘never seen before in theaters’ footage and special artwork, all tucked away in a premium collector’s package. The two games and Blu-ray disc can be played on the PS3 and it is available for a price of USD 49.99 (approx. Rs. 2,425).
Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 are available as a single game on Xbox 360 for the first time and priced at USD 29.99 (approx. Rs. 1,455). The End is Nigh Part 2 will be available for the PC as a download on July 29, 2009 and for the PSN on July 30, 2009 for USD 14.99 (approx Rs. 730). It is expected to release on XBLA on August 26, 2009 and will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points.
