Zombie Apocalypse is the downloadable shoot ’em up title from Nihilistic Software which was earlier announced for the XBLA and PSN. Now Konami Digital Entertainment has announced a release date for Zombie Apocalypse. The game hits the XBLA and the PSN next week.
The game puts dual analog stick shooting skills to the ultimate test, dropping players right in the middle of the an epic battle between the living and the dead. Players can choose from up to eleven diverse weapons which include flamethrowers, assault rifles and teddy bears filled with C4. For those who want t more hands-on experience, a chainsaw is also available, plus players can even use the environment to take down hordes of zombies.
The game features seven environments and players must survive 55 days of zombie attacks. Those who survive will be rewarded with seven highly challenging games modes which allow them to re-live the apocalyptic mayhem over again. Zombie Apocalypse features multiplayer in which four players can take on zombies locally or co-operatively online.
Zombie Apocalypse is scheduled to be available on September 23, 2009 on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points while the game releases on the PlayStation Network on September 24, 2009 for a price of 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 480) for PS3 users.
