Dante’s Inferno Producer Hopes for Chance to Make a Sequel

Dante’s Inferno is marketed as one hell of a game by EA, and the demo for the PS3 has been released with Xbox 360 owners having to wait just a little while longer. Now you would think that the game isn’t exactly capable of spurning sequel upon sequel, since it is an adaptation of the first book Inferno of The Divine Comedy.

But executive producer Jonathan Knight has expressed his hope to be able to make a follow-up to Dante’s Inferno to G4TV, when the web site posed the question of a sequel. “That is a problem I hope to have to solve by earning the right to do a follow up,” exec producer Knight said.

“This [completing development on Dante’s Inferno] is just totally what our focus is, and then we’re gonna [finish] around the holidays and then everybody’s gonna take a long break and we’re gonna see if people respond well to it in February — which I think they will,” he added.

He concluded by saying that if the team was lucky enough to solve the inherent problem, they would go about solving it. An in doing so, make a sequel. So Dante’s Purgatorio anyone?
