“The world of Alighieri’s Dante’s Inferno is such a rich, detailed, and often alarming universe, that all of us at Visceral Games put our hearts, and dare I say souls, into creating something truly intense and exciting,” executive producer Jonathan Knight commented. “We hope gamers enjoy this tease of hell, and come away from the experience lusting for more when the game comes out on February 9.”

In the demo, players are introduced to Dante Alighieri’s re-imagined past as a crusader. Returning home to Florence, he discovers that his love, Beatrice, has been murdered. He then chases down Death in a bid to recover her soul. The demo of Dante’s Inferno serves as a prelude to the journey through the inner working of hell.

Dante’s Inferno is scheduled to release to North America on February 9, 2010 and to Europe on February 12, 2010, for the PS3, PSP and the Xbox 360. The ‘Gates of Hell’ demo will available on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
