Battlestations: Pacific now Available in Europe and Australia

Earlier, we reported that the game Battlestations: Pacific would be releasing in the month of May. And towards the end of last month the demo was released. Now Eidos Interactive have announced that Battlestations: Pacific has released for the Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live in Europe and Australia.

Battlestations Pacific

The game follows the 2007 Battlestations: Midway, and introduces two campaigns, the historically accurate US campaign and the feasible Japanese campaign. The US campaign continues the story from the last game, recreating some of the most memorable naval battles in history, whereas the Japanese campaign begins from the Pearl Harbor attack, and runs all the way through Asia, Australia and further throughout the Pacific Rim.

Battlestations: Pacific features over a hundred sea, air and undersea units which can be controlled by the player, including aircraft carriers, submarines, bombers and kamikaze planes. The weapons in the game are created to perfection with intricate damage to the hull of ships made possible, causing engines to fail, magazines to explode, and fuel stores to go up in a blaze.

Battlestations: Pacific also features online pay modes allowing players to take the experience to another level, playing against others. Up to eight players can join in the action and in Skirmish Mode, a new feature, players can play offline multiplayer against computer controlled opponents.
