Recently at the E3, Konami announced Metal Gear Solid: Rising which would be the first Metal Gear Solid title for the Xbox 360. The way the company announced it, everyone construed that the game would be exclusive to the Xbox 360, although we noted that it wasn’t clear whether PS3 and PC gamers would also get a release. But now Konami clarifies that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will not only release for the Xbox 360, but for the PC and PS3 platforms as well.
“The Metal Gear Solid series has always pushed the bar with its cinematic visuals and entertaining story line,” said Martin Schneider, Konami Digital Entertainment’s European Marketing Director. “Now even more gamers can immerse themselves in the franchise and experience the groundbreaking series as Metal Gear Solid: Rising heads to the platform of their choice.”
In addition to being the first game in the series to be released on the Xbox 360, Metal Gear Solid: Rising will also be the first game in the series to be released simultaneously for the three mentioned platforms. The game focuses on Raiden, the cyborg ninja who is apparently one of the most popular characters in the Metal Gear Solid universe. Pricing and release dates for the game are not known at this point.
