We earlier reported that the highly anticipated Wet video game would be published by Bethesda Softworks. Now, the American publisher has announced that Wet will be available in European retail stores from this September onwards.
“We are extremely excited to bring Wet to gamers on September 18th. A2M has created an explosive gaming experience and the action is non-stop from start to finish,” explained Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks.
A high adrenaline mixture of action and intrigue will be delivered by the acrobatic shooter game which stars Rubi Malone. She was left for dead by a mysterious man and is now hell-bent on taking her revenge. Using her dual pistols and samurai sword, the femme fatale will hack through hordes of enemies. Players can chain various moves like jumping, flipping, sliding down ladders and running on walls to perform imaginative action sequences. The third person shooter will have exciting features like auto-lock and slow motion along with a heady mix of violence and humour.
Creative Director at A2M, Patrick Fortier stated, “We’ve worked really hard to make Wet different from any other action game available. When players experience the game’s unique blend of gunplay, sword combat and acrobatics, they won’t want to put the controller down.”
Although the prices have not yet been divulged, Wet is slated to hit European retail stores on September 18, 2009. It is developed by A2M (Artificial Mind and Movement) for Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles.
