Microsoft is planning to dominate the Christmas season of 2008 and they have Gears of War 2 to bolster their arsenal. Sony would surely have a plan, wouldn’t they? Yes, do they have one! BBC News Blog is reporting that Sony will be releasing MotorStorm 2 in Christmas 2008.
The folks over at BBC managed to get a lot of information about the MotorStorm sequel at this year’s Game Developers Conference. MotorStorm was set in a desert locale. However, the sequel will have something opposite as MotorStorm 2 is set in a lush island environment. Gamers can expect a race environment that is full of interactive vegetation.
One more thing that will definitely give an exhilarating experience to the PS3 gamers is that MotorStorm 2 will have a four-player split-screen action. One of the things that were missing in MotorStorm was split-screen action but it’s great that they have managed to get it in the sequel. MotorStorm 2 has a great game engine but the game is some months away from completion.
