A few months ago, we had reported that action movies specialist Andrzej Bartkowiak would be directing the new Street Fighter flick. Now movie news website Variety has more details of the forthcoming movie, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. Noted Hollywood actors like Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein and Rick Yune will be starring in the Street Fighter movie.
The role of the martial artist Chun-Li will be played by Kristin Kreuk. She is well known for playing Lana Lang in Smallville. Michael Clarke Duncan will be playing the role of Balrog while Chris Klein will be playing the role of Nash. As for Rick Yune, he will be stepping in to the shoes of the numinous Gen. Besides these four, Moon Bloodgood, Taboo (of Black Eyed Peas), Cheng Pei Pei and Edmund Chen will also be featuring in the film.
The new Street Fighter movie is being produced by Ashok Amritraj and Patrick Aiello from Hyde Park. Capcom will be the executive producers of the film. However, it is still unclear who will play the role of Bison, the main villain in the Street Fighter movie.
In the 1994 version of the movie, Raúl Juliá, who passed away shortly before its release, played the role of Bison. I am sure the readers will be having some recommendation as to who should play the role of Bison in the new Street Fighter film.
