The Resident Evil franchise is one of the most popular action video game series. After the success of Resident Evil 4, fans of the franchise have been eagerly waiting for the next game. Yesterday, there were speculations that Resident Evil 5 will only come on the Xbox 360. However Capcom has clarified that RE 5 will come on PS3 as well as Xbox 360.
Gaming blog Kotaku got in touch with Chris Kramer, who is the senior director of communications at Capcom. He explained, “Resident Evil 5 is coming for PS3 and 360. We haven’t given either retailer any new information on the game, so it’s most likely hiccups in the system. The goal is for both products to ship simultaneously, as (Devil May Cry) 4 just did.”
Rumors about Resident Evil 5 coming only on the Xbox 360 flared when listings about the game on online retailers listed it only for Microsoft’s next generation console. Well, it seems that PS3 gamers can breathe easy as they will be getting RE 5 at the same time as the Xbox 360 gamers.
