With an intention of constructing an amusement park, the coldhearted Funland Corporation is ready to raze over the town of Leaf Valley. Gamers play as this town’s citizens trying to employ plans to put an end to their scheming. In order to safeguard Leaf Valley and the family farm, players will be required to raise animals, mine ores, grow crops and unearth gems. While gathering money and cultivating their skills in part-time jobs are necessary to grow, forming relationships with fellow villagers will be quintessential to win their trust and help.

Presenting a more profound and robust role-playing experience, Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley offers a ‘Life Simulation’ type gameplay whereas its predecessors primarily offered a farming simulation keeping role-playing as the penultimate flavor. Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley deviates from the original Harvest Moon concept as it allows players to engage in several mini-games like fishing, mining and horse racing inside the game. After a series of various cheering events that occur in succession, the game is reported to finally end with either one of sixteen different likely endings.
