The Trials Evolution: Gold Edition release date for PC has come out through Ubisoft which revealed that the 2.5D racer will be hitting the platform on March 22, 2013. This date applies to both its digital as well as retail versions. Besides this news, Ubisoft has also gone on to disclose that the franchise on which the game is based has managed to pass the 4 million mark in terms of the number of units sold.
The Trials Evolution: Gold Edition is nothing but an enhanced version of the original Xbox Live offering which launched to immense praise last year. It is being developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, which is being assisted by the title’s original creator, RedLynx. It will come equipped with the complete critically acclaimed game that will feature special optimizations for running on the PC platform. Moreover, all the tracks from its predecessor will also be bundled with it, recreated using this title’s graphics and physics engine.
This will take the tally of available tracks to more than 129 in all. And to add to that, there are the game’s exciting track editing tools that let gamers create and share their own tracks. To encourage competition, global leaderboards have been infused into the game, apart from 4-player multiplayer support for local as well as online play. Lastly, customizations for bikes and riders form part of the title as well. A new trailer for this PC version was launched by Ubisoft yesterday, and can be spotted in the space below.
This game originally came out for the Xbox 360 through its download service in April last year. Ever since its launch, it has been getting a lot of admiration from critics and gamers like for its unique elements. It now sells on Xbox Live at a price of 1,200 Microsoft Points. Two DLC packs have been created for it so far, and can both be downloaded now. These include Riders of Doom and Origin of Pain, which are priced at 400 Microsoft Points each.
