EA has announced that a new Supernatural expansion pack for The Sims 3 is under development for PC and Mac, and that it will be ready for release in September this year. The expansion will allow gamers to step into the shoes of mystic beings like werewolves, witches, vampires and fairies. Brand new art for the pack can be spotted in the images below.
It has also been confirmed that powerful spells, volatile elixirs and magical abilities would be available at gamers’ disposal with The Sims 3 Supernatural. The Create A Sim tool of the game will allow players to customize the characteristics of their Sims with fresh items. During gameplay, new abilities, traits, skills and interactions will also be available to be learnt. These include delayed aging of fairies and vampires, native magic channeling for witches and lycanthropy for werewolves, enabling them to control their animal instincts.
“With a variety of deep and mysterious supernatural lifestyles to choose from, The Sims 3 Supernatural allows players to dive into powerful new gameplay that showcases a darker side of The Sims. This pack introduces a fresh perspective while maintaining the characteristic playfulness, humor and innovation of our studio. With The Sims 3 Supernatural, we are adding a wealth of rich creative possibilities, surprising new content and intriguing storylines to the world of The Sims 3,” reveals Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio.
EA has also disclosed information about a new integration between The Sims and Plants vs. Zombies. Those who place pre-orders of this expansion pack will be rewarded with a special limited edition version featuring an exclusive Plants vs. Zombies content pack. This will provide gamers with the Pea Shooter from the latter game, while they would also be enabled to dress their Sims with classic zombie-themed attire.
Pricing details of The Sims 3 Supernatural expansion pack are yet to be specified by EA. It will be launched for PC and Mac in September.
