Namco Bandai, the makers of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 4 and Noby Noby Boy, have announced a new game, part of the One Piece series of games, for the Wii. Captain Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are searching for the definitive treasure while they encounter conflict and mystery and fall across adventure. One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 1 is set for release in June 2009 and One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 2 will release in October 2009.
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise sees the varied Straw Hat Pirate crew, champion on to mysterious islands in search of treasures and adventures. The game features a lengthy storyline and hence is split into 2 episodes which are to be released separately at different times. The Wii controller gives the freedom to perform some of the characters special moves. With the Wii remote and nunchuck players can fight enemies using Luffy’s Gum Gum Storm and Nami’s Cyclone Tempo among other moves. The game offers players a choice of 12 characters, with more than 30 bosses to fight against, from the anime series.
The One Piece: Unlimited Cruise episodes are said to contain one additional exclusive character that is vital to the original story. This character is created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece author.
