Mad Catz R.A.T.3 Gaming Mouse Now Packs in Next Generation Optical Sensor

A certain San Diego-based peripherals manufacture has announced the availability of the updated Mad Catz R.A.T.3 gaming mouse. This addition is equipped with a next generation optical sensor for delivering better tracking precision and almost no acceleration.

Fitted within the device is an Avago 3090 optical sensor that should be able to track at around 3500dpi. Besides this, it comes with customizable settings which allow gamers to adjust the DPI. With 4 options to choose from, they can select between 450, 900, 1800 and 3500 DPI modes. Most other features continue to prevail on the gaming peripheral.

Designed around a sleek form factor that houses a host of buttons, gamers can utilize the 3 programmable keys by binding them to certain in-game commands and even create their own custom profiles. Moreover, the Cyborg Modes provide 3 R.A.T. selections that allow players to adjust the sensitivity and flip between saved profiles for the customizable button through a simple press of the button. The mouse operates over the USB 2.0 interface and is compatible with most recent versions of the Windows platform and Mac OS.
