The R.A.T.9 introduces a wireless alternative to the range, which we believe will prove highly appealing to a great many gamers,” remarked Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz.

The innovation runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, facilitating an incessant gaming session for about nine hours. Enclosing around 42 grams of removable weights, the product has been packed with a spruce desktop charging unit. It is also being shipped with two ‘hot swappable’ battery packs for enabling gamers to charge the mouse without tethering it.

The customizable options incorporated in the mouse allow gamers to set the x and y-axis dpi, similar to those in the Cyborg R.A.T.7 gaming mouse. Featuring a ‘twin eye’ 5600dpi gaming grade laser sensor, the peripheral can store up to four individual settings. Players can smoothly switch from a setting to another with the help of an integrated toggle switch.
