EA E3 Highlights: Need for Speed Most Wanted and More

In this report of the EA E3 highlights, we’ll be talking about Need for Speed: Most Wanted which has been catching quite a bit of attention ever since its announcement. Police chases, vehicular destruction and ‘spine-bending’ speeds, will all be back with the NFS: MW reboot that is being developed by Criterion Games.

Slated to release in October 2012, this game will feature the much loved Autolog trait that had debuted with 2010’s NFS: Hot Pursuit which also came from the same developer. This open world title will even be lunched in the form of special limited edition packs that will offer double speed points, custom liveries, pre-customized rollouts and two extra vehicles – Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale and Porsche 911 Carrera S.

Furthermore, Dead Space 3 was also revealed by the publisher as a co-op based shooter with drop in and drop out mechanics. It will revolve around Isaac Clarke and John Carver who make their way through space in order to discover the source of the Necromorph outbreak. The game will be released for multiple platforms early next year.

Battlefield 3 finally received its Premium subscription service at the E3. As revealed earlier, it will provide gamers with access to all the title’s expansion packs as well as other extra content at a discounted rate of 49.95 USD (approx. Rs. 2,745). Moreover, it was also disclosed that the famed UFC franchise has now made a move from THQ to EA, and that all the games under the series will be developed by EA’s studios as part of a multi-year and multi-product licensing deal.

Another one of the EA E3 highlights was Crysis 3 which received a brand new trailer. Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which was unveiled in February this year, has been endowed with a pre-order offer under which gamers reserving their copies prior to its October release will be able to lay their hands on a number of exclusive downloadable packs. The SimCity reboot also saw its much awaited E3 trailer being unveiled.

FIFA 13 and Madden NFL 13 were the other noteworthy games in the EA E3 highlights.
