Like all the other games in the The Elder Scrolls series, the Elder Scrolls MMO will also be set in the fictional continent of Tamriel. But it would not feature a storyline connected with any other title. Set a millennium prior to the events that transpire in Skyrim, this MMO will have the Daedric Prince Molag Bal as its prime antagonist.

As he tries to conquer the entire continent of Tamriel, players will be thrown into the action with the liberty to join any of the three factions that are currently ruling over Tamriel. These include the Aldmeri Dominion which comprises of the Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit classes, the Daggerfall Covenant, occupied by Breton, Redguard and Orc classes and Ebonheart Pact which includes the Dunmer, Nord and Argonian classes.

The story that will be on offer with the Dawnguard DLC will revolve around the return of the vampire lord, Harkon who intends to use an Elder Scroll to blot out the sun. Two new skill trees – Vampire lord and werewolf will be made available, while new homes will also form part of this add-on content. One of the fresh shouts that will enter the game is called Soul Tear, and it can be used by gamers to raise the soul of a slain enemy to fight for them.

While The Elder Scrolls Online will be released in 2013, the Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim is all set to hit PSN and Xbox Live on June 26. Its PC version is still to be dated.
