Batman: Arkham City to Feature Catwoman as Playable Character

The land of the Dark Knight has been unleashing its colors to offer a glimpse of the madness in-store. We got a little sneak peek into the sequel of Batman: Arkham Asylum earlier this March while its official release date was revealed for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have now divulged that Catwoman will be a playable character in Batman: Arkham City.

The female counterpart of the superhero will enter the game with her set of unique fighting moves, gadgets and signature ‘takedowns.’ With a storyline dedicated to the character, it is said to harmonize along the title’s main plot. Players can step into the shoes of this feline character as they traverse through challenge maps and unravel their ‘darker side.’

Unfurling a new chapter from the life of the Dark Kinght, this title will put gamers back in the midst of the heavily fortified walls of Arkham City. Inundated with classic characters, terrifying villains and famous personalities from the world of Batman, it is touted to weave together an engrossing narrative and enhanced gameplay.

Batman: Arkham City will unlock doors for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC gamers starting October 21, 2011 in the UK.
