Batman: Arkham City to unleash fear across UK on October 21

October is filled with horror as Halloween is seen creeping up stealthily at the end of the month. Well, with the latest news hitting the gaming scene, players will have all the more reason to stay terrified. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has joined forces with DC Entertainment to instill fear into the heart of Dark Knight fans by revealing the release details of the upcoming game Batman: Arkham City.

Batman: Arkham Asylum which unleashed back in 2009 took the gaming terrain by storm with its engaging gameplay and other innovative elements. The follow-up to that title now boasts of a game world that is five times larger than the Arkham Asylum. The much-awaited offering features the new maximum security place for housing Gotham City’s dangerous gangsters, thugs and insane criminal masterminds.

The events take place in the midst of sprawling Gotham City within heavily fortified walls. The sequel is packed with a brand new storyline that brings together an all-star cast that comprises of murderous villains and classic characters plucked right out of the familiar Batman universe. Adding to the overall elements, the developers have also infused the game with new and enhanced gameplay features that take the Dark Knight experience to a whole new high.

Batman: Arkham City is scheduled to hit stores across the UK on October 21, 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
